Hello, dear reader!
Ok, I’m back. I don’t know how it happened that I got lost for so long. I didn’t even realize it’s been almost 3 months!!! To think that I intended – and still do – to write here once a week…
So, in the meantime I read quite a bit, and I worked some, and then I didn’t and was concerned that I wasn’t working… and other things like that occupied my mind, to where focusing on this blog just slipped through the cracks. And I was also looking for direction about it. I wasn’t sure I was making my point well; I was wondering if my writing is truly clear, comprehensible, motivated and sufficiently evidenced. It’s hard to know without feedback, yet good feedback isn’t easy to find.
Anyways, I will continue on.
Here is something that caught my attention.

The tag line is “The Arts Connect Heaven & Earth.” I put heaven into the category of invisible things. Earth is very much visible and tangible. And here is what the creators of this dance stage show have to say: “The people of China have long held that their magnificent culture was a gift from the heavens. Art was primarily a means to explore the connection between humankind and the higher universe. Through the universal language of music and dance, Shen Yun weaves a wondrous tapestry of heavenly realms, ancient legends, and modern heroic tales, taking you on a journey through 5,000 years of genuine Chinese culture.” This is the point I’ve been trying to make in the recent entries – that culture and the arts are a reflection of what people perceive as a real invisible world connected to their real visible one.
And I for myself am convinced that a real invisible world does indeed exist!
